Most of us know that a non-profit organization’s case for support is one of the fundamental resources needed in order to be successful in their philanthropic efforts.  Not only does it provide a roadmap that guides board members, fundraising staff and other stakeholders through the strategic goals of what your charity hopes to accomplish, but it tells the charity’s story and clearly (and persuasively) outlines why your donors’ funds are so important in moving the mission forward.

Whether your organization is thinking about writing a new case for support or you're looking to strengthen your current one, this morning breakfast session with Grant Monck will outline some of the most effective pieces of a strong case for support – but more importantly – how we can best utilize this important document to truly engage the people in our community (team members, volunteers, donors, etc.) to our mission.

About our expert speaker:

Grant Monck, LL.B., Grant Monck Fundraising Consultant Services

Grant has over twenty years of experience as a board member, senior fundraiser and lawyer. Vancouver was where his fundraising career began, serving in leadership roles at several non-profit organizations including  the Canadian Cancer Society, the University of British Columbia, Pearson World College and Ducks Unlimited Canada.

Grant’s experience includes working on annual and capital campaigns, communications and government relations – with a specific expertise in major gift fundraising and gift planning.

In 2014, Grant established a private consulting firm that is based in Vancouver and has been providing services to clients both locally and internationally, in the areas of general charitable giving, gift planning, endowment and major gift campaigns, government relations and overall strategic planning.


This education session is worth 2 points towards CFRE accreditation or re-certification.

- All cancellations 3 weeks prior or greater = $10 or 10% processing fee (whichever is greater)
- All cancellations between 2 weeks prior to 48 hours prior = $10 or 50% processing fee (whichever is greater)
- All cancellations within 48 hours prior = zero refund
